This work package is directed at small and medium-sized companies in the music industry and provides them with concrete support for development and increased sustainability. The starting point is the companies' own priority needs: to build knowledge, strengthen entrepreneurial skills, forge international contacts and create long-term collaborations.
The package is the project's hub for collaboration and future development, establishing a shared arena where companies, researchers, technology developers and cultural organisations meet to try new ways of working. The focus is on shaping models for collaboration and resource sharing, interpreting global trends, and developing methods and tools at the intersection of human creativity and technological possibilities.
Targeted training initiatives give companies in-depth competence in areas such as sales, digital communication, sustainability and gender equality. The starting point is to strengthen companies' capacity in the areas they themselves have identified as most critical.
The activity enables knowledge exchange between established actors and new entrepreneurs through mentorship and partnerships, as well as access to international markets and networks.
This activity introduces small businesses and creators to LEAN entrepreneurship methodology. Through training and coaching, participants receive tools for validating their business ideas, analysing target audiences and developing scalable business models.
The activity is built on the target group's need for more structured methods to test ideas early, before investing too much time and resources.
To gather international experiences and build networks, a study trip is made to a leading music and industry event in Europe. Participants meet actors who have successfully developed clusters and collaboration models at the intersection of culture and business.
Experiences are documented and fed back into the project's development group through shared discussions and knowledge dissemination.
The project runs a mentorship programme where established companies and creators act as mentors to newly started businesses. The focus is on business development, intellectual property, internationalisation and entrepreneurship.
This builds bridges between generations and sectors, while new talents receive tools to develop in the long term. The activity is designed around the target group's need for support in transitioning from micro-business to sustainable operations.
The project establishes a recurring thinktank each semester during the project's implementation – 6 sessions in total. Industry actors, together with researchers, technology developers and cultural organisations, analyse current trends and future scenarios.
Focus is on topics such as AI and copyright, the impact of digitalisation, sustainable revenue models, and inclusion and gender equality. The thinktank serves both as an ideas workshop for the project's ongoing work and as a knowledge resource for regional actors. Results are disseminated through reports, seminars and public events.
The project develops a practically applicable model for how smaller actors in the music industry can share resources, services and competences. Through workshops, pilots and tests, new ways of jointly using studios, technical platforms, legal advice and marketing tools are explored.
The model is designed in close dialogue with participating companies and tested in smaller pilot projects to ensure scalability and usability. The method is openly shared within the project under a Creative Commons licence.
