Privacy & cookie policy

In short

Music Hub West is run by Brewhouse Göteborg as part of the Tune In West project. We collect as little as possible: statistics on how the site is used (only if you consent), and the details you provide yourself when you register for an event, contact us, submit an event or subscribe to the newsletter.

We never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies: your browser’s local storage, and a service worker that caches pages so the site loads faster and works offline.

Cookies we use

Necessary – required for the site to work and cannot be switched off:

• CookieYes – remembers your choice in the consent banner so you are not asked every visit.
• Language preference – your choice of Swedish or English is stored locally in your browser.
• Service worker cache – stores pages and images locally for faster loading. Contains no personal data.

Statistics – set only if you accept the “statistics” category:

• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WNLNN5Z6V7) – shows how many people visit, which pages are read and how visitors found us. We do not use it to identify individuals.
• Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-5QPCVQDS) – the tool that loads the measurement scripts above.

Marketing – set only if you accept the “marketing” category:

• Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) – measures whether a visit came from an ad we published and whether it led to a registration of interest. Used to see which ads work and to show ads to similar audiences. The data is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.

If you do not accept marketing, the pixel is not loaded at all and Meta receives no information about your visit. You can use the whole site and register your interest without accepting it.

Your consent

The first time you visit, a consent banner lets you choose which categories you accept. Statistics cookies are not set until you actively accept them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the button below.

Information you provide yourself

Besides statistics, we process data you actively submit:

• Event registration – name, email and the answers you give in the form. Used to administer the event and send your confirmation. Legal basis: contract.
• Company details – when you register we ask whether you have a company and, if you do, for its registration number. This is used solely to report the number of participating companies to Tillväxtverket, which funds the project. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  If you are a sole trader, the company registration number is the same as your personal identity number. We do not share it for any other purpose, and it is deleted once the reporting to Tillväxtverket is complete.
• Contact form – name, email, organisation and your message. Used to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Submit an event – your contact and event details, so we can review and publish the event. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Newsletter – your email address. You sign up yourself via the form on the website, and can unsubscribe with one click via the link in every newsletter. Legal basis: consent.

Registering for an event does not add you to the newsletter — they are two separate choices.

Logs and click statistics

Our web server logs technical details about each visit, such as IP address, timestamp and the page requested. This is necessary to operate and secure the site, and is kept for a maximum of 30 days.

When you click through to an external registration link we record that the click happened — which event and in which language. We do not link it to you as an individual.

Services we use

We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf or receive it as part of delivering their service:

• Vercel – hosting and server logs.
• CookieYes – consent management.
• Google – Analytics and Tag Manager (statistics), plus Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces and therefore receives your IP address.
• Monday.com – case handling for registrations, contact messages and submitted events.
• Sanity – content management and submitted event proposals.
• Resend – sending confirmation emails and newsletters, and storing newsletter subscribers.
• Meta Platforms Ireland – ad measurement via the Meta pixel, only if you have accepted marketing cookies. Data may be transferred to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
• CARTO and OpenStreetMap – map imagery on event pages. The map loads only when you open it, at which point the provider receives your IP address.

Several of these providers are established outside the EU/EEA. Transfers are made with the safeguards required under the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

• Event registrations – for the duration of the Tune In West project (through 2029) for follow-up and reporting to our funders.
• Contact messages – as long as the matter is active, as a rule no more than 24 months.
• Newsletter subscription – until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs – maximum 30 days.
• Google Analytics statistics – according to the retention period configured in the service.

Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to object to processing and to withdraw consent you have given. Email hello@musichubwest.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
