Want to create an event that engages an audience and holds together from the first idea to the night itself? Over two days you learn the fundamentals of planning, producing and running events.
The course covers everything from developing and packaging the idea to budgeting, funding, contracts and fees for the people taking part — plus tools for logistics, technology, safety and project management.
To give you a complete picture of how an event is planned, organised and delivered, and practical tools for developing your own — whether you are at the idea stage or already working on a concrete production.
Wednesday 28 October, 12:00–17:00. The first day focuses on the building blocks of an event that works. You get an introduction to the five preconditions for a successful production and concrete tools for planning and delivery.
Thursday 29 October, 09:00–15:00. The second day is spent on the participants’ own projects. You present an event, a production or an idea you want to develop and get individual feedback from the course leaders and perspectives from the other participants. Through discussion, shared experience and practical exercises you identify opportunities, handle the obstacles and take the next step towards something you can actually deliver.
