Musicians, ABF, the Swedish Musicians’ Union, LO and the No Excuse festival come together to give you the tools, knowledge and confidence to take your music further – from the rehearsal room to the stage. Whether you play as a hobby or professionally, the goal is simple: a better grip on your rights, your money and your music.
Block 1: Gigs, work & rights. What applies when music becomes a job? Employment versus being hired for a gig, your rights, what to expect from an organiser or employer, working environment in the music business, and what ABF and the Musicians’ Union can do for you.
Block 2: Music life – what can go wrong and how to do it right? Shared experiences from playing live, touring and arranging your own gigs, with small-group discussions about risks and what you can do for a safer situation.
Block 3: Money, contracts & insurance. What to consider before signing band, commission and record contracts, STIM, copyright and collective agreements – and how to insure your health and your gear.
Organisers: ABF Väst, the Swedish Musicians’ Union and LO. The day is held in Swedish.
